Dude finished the book and loved it!!!!!! There more some twists that I didn't see coming and that doesn't happen enough anymore!!!!!!

The baddies were aweful and I kinda cared about the good guys but the begging and the kids letting them go just like that was a huge letdown after 900 pages!!!!!

I like your idea but as I was reading I was hoping the alien infants would get bored and add elements to finish off them off quicker or just be sick of it and 'wipe the board clean' leaving a firey hole in the ground!!!

Still much better than his latest fare!!!

Although The Road was so much better and I loved it so much!!!!! I'll read it again!!!!

I spoke with a friend over the weekend and they thought it was lame. How strange, I really thought it was a bloody good flick. Not sure if it missed this Oscar period or was simply snubbed...either way, doesn't stop me from enjoying it.

I've been looking forward to this film for so long (with all the delays), I've been worrying it can only be a disappointment. Thanks for the reassurance.

Rol - I agree that sometimes you just strike at what is working. I am liking procrastinating from one writing work by working on another. It's all being productive.

I have seen those ten rules before, I like seeing what other authors use, but I also take on board what works for me. So many authors contradict themselves, whether through rules or actual use in their works. It's interesting but you have to take everything with the requisite dosage of salt as well.
